Position Summary
The Conventional Lathe Machinist is responsible for programming, set-up, run, tear down on Trak lathes & mills, grinders, and EDM to fabricate aerospace parts per engineering specifications without supervision.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Ability to program, set-up, run, tear down & run Trak lathes without assistance and maintain dimensional quality in a production environment.
Excellent attention to detail with demonstrated ability to hold tight tolerances and make complex parts.
Proven ability to consistently run good parts that meet production standards. Able to meet all quality requirements and first part buy-off requirements without assistance.
Solid knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing & proficient with shop math.
Able to read Boeing mechanical blue prints and specifications.
Good inspection skills with ability to use all shop inspection tools.
Self-motivated, ability to work well, problem solve and trouble shoot with supervisors, engineers, QA and other team members to optimize the machining process, improve set up time, and develop efficiencies on shop floor.
Ability to read, write, analyze, and interpret work instructions, drawing and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Ability to multi-task, work with a sense of urgency, meet tight deadlines, and work overtime as needed.

3+ years lathe experience
