Food Processing Mechanic

Our Renton based client is well established and fast growing in the quality Pet Food Industry! We are seeking Food Processing Mechanic candidates for long-term employment.

Shift available; First 6:30am – 3:30pm and Swing 10:00am – 8:00pm, Wednesday – Sunday.

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Preventative maintenance of processing equipment; Ulma Thermoformer\Vacuum Seal, Weiler 1109 Grinder, Risco Mixer, and Nowicki high speed cutter.
  • Develop and apply a working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, mechanical, refrigeration and freezer systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve and repair equipment issues.
  • Knowledge and maintenance of spare parts inventory.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of repair and maintenance activities.
  • Interface with and respond to machine emergency repairs.
  • Other work as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • High School Diploma, post High School training or college coursework.
  • Food processing equipment knowledge of wiring and small motor repairs.
  • Effective interpersonal and written communications skills.
  • Basic Computer skills.
  • Strong work ethic, both independently and with team.
  • Ability to adjust to abrupt changes in priorities.
  • Ability to lift 75#s.
  • Good working knowledgeable of manual and power tools.
  • Experience working with contractors.
