Hotel Equipment Engineer
Shift: Sunday - Thursday
Pay Rate: $28.00 - $34.00

The goal is to perform as much equipment repair and parts replacement in-house as possible and only vendor out service when necessary.

Licenses

" Electrical safety and electrical theory training
" Forklift Safety Training Card
" Current CPR & Basic First Aid certification
" Seattle Refrigeration Operating Engineer License
" Seattle Boiler Fireman License, grade 4 minimum

Work Orders

" Complete Tenant/Office generated Work Requests within an acceptable response time
" Guest related requests should be taken care of immediately, project and other work requests should be prioritized and accomplished as time allows
" Communicate issues to Property Management when repairs/issues cannot be resolved in a timely manner

Tasks

" Perform equipment repairs on both hot and cold side equipment in-house, coordinate repair vendor when necessary
" Keep Facilities Manager and Management informed on equipment repair status
" Maintain maintenance supply room so it is organized at all times
" Responsible for maintaining inventory so that stock is on site and available for maintenance and repairs as needed in the Hotel
" Proactively finding and replacing lamps that have gone out issues in the common areas of the Hotel
" Replace filters in guest rooms, on laundry equipment, and HVAC units as necessary
" Replace guest room card readers as needed
" Trouble shoot and correct issues with audio and visual equipment in guest rooms
" Identify and troubleshoot issues with restaurant equipment
" Painting/patching
" Moving furniture as needed
" Help setting up for site wide events
" Ensure "lock out tag out" policy is followed when working on an energized circuit
" Responsible to conduct necessary repair and maintenance as required by the position including the following components
o Lamp replacement
o Ballast replacement
o Replacing switches
o Replacing outlets
o Tracing circuits
o Trouble shooting electrical issues with open circuits
o Motors, pumps, contact relays, 12/24 volt lighting
o Replacing thermostats
o Trouble shoot issues with HVAC and fan coil units in guest rooms
