Lift Truck Maintenance Mechanic

Our local Renton client is highly established and known for delivering and maintaining quality equipment. In operation since 1967 in the PNW they are recognized as the #1 forklift manufacture since 2002.  

We are seeking skilled Lift Truck Maintenance Technicians diagnose and perform mechanical, electrical and hydraulic repairs on a variety of powered industrial equipment. Candidates must be skilled with the use of hand tools as well as computerized testing equipment in order to locate, diagnose and repair problems. The Technicians read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. To perform preventive maintenance, they routinely check items such as hydraulic fluid levels, tire pressure, the condition of the forks, drive control, steering and the brakes. Furthermore, they use a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to generate and process the maintenance and repairs reported and performed.


  • A strong understanding of hydraulic, mechanical and electrical theory, including D.C. power circuits, motor controls and electronic control systems
  • Experience in industrial powered equipment maintenance mechanical and diagnostic knowledge of powered industrial equipment
  • Working knowledge of hydraulic systems
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
  • Capability of generating and processing work on a computerized maintenance-management system
  • Maintain hourly billing average over $75/hour
  • Complete orders in a timely manner and able to prioritize
  • Work with parts department to ensure proper materials are available or ordered


  • Entry level - previous mechanical experience or technical school
  • Journey level 4+ years of professional mechanical experience
  • Must have proper hand and air tools to complete the work
  • Good attendance and punctual
  • Courteous and positive attitude toward customers and team members
  • Efficient and keeps safety as a priority
