Position: Packaging Line Operator /Liquid Filling
Location: Ballard, WA
Schedule: 6: 00 AM - 2: 30 PM, Mon -Fri (frequent overtime may be required)
Our client is an established company seeking a skilled Production Operator responsible for the safe, accurate and efficient transfer of bulk liquid coatings (water and solvent based) into a range of packages including quarts, gallons, pails, bottles, drums and totes, using a variety of fluid transfer systems and packaging equipment - manual to fully automatic.
As a member of the filling and packaging team you will use your strong mechanical skills and attention to detail for set-up, operation and general maintenance of our 6 different filling lines on a rotating basis.
Essential duties:
" Setup / changeover, monitor and adjust filling and labelling equipment.
" Troubleshoot and correct filling and labelling equipment issues.
" Clean and maintain packaging and labelling equipment and work areas
" Ensure correct product, fill-levels, labels, cans, covers and lot numbers according to work orders.
" Accurately complete all necessary paperwork.
Requirements:
" Ability to stand/walk 8-10 hours/day, 5-6 days per week.
" Ability to lift 50 lbs. Repetitively (pails and cases) from chest to floor and floor to chest.
" Ability to climb ladders.
" Safely handle flammable liquids including the ability for wear and organic vapor respirator and other PPE (gloves, safety glasses, harnesses)
" Operate sit-down forklift.
" Basic math comprehension.
" Proven success working in manufacturing.
" Past experience operating packaging equipment strongly preferred.
