Fast growing local glass company is seeking a skilled Shipping & Receiving swing shift (5:00 pm – 2:00am) Supervisor.

Job Summary: To supervise, operate, and coordinate activity in the warehouse.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

 

  • Working knowledge of all tasks performed in the shipping & receiving department.
  • Active hands on working member of the department.
  • Adjusts personnel to complete daily requirements including but not limited to scheduling, coaching, teaching and counseling.
  • Ensures orders are processed for shipment on due dates as specified on the sales order.
  • Maximizes efficiency in the shipping department.
  • Schedules necessary vehicle maintenance.
  • Trains employees for specific duties, and enforces company rules.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area at all times.
  • Basic computer skills are required for this position

Education and/or Experience                                            

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • 1-2 Years of transportation or shipping department experience
  • Material handling systems; forklift, pallet jack, cherry picker, and RF Scanner
  • Commercial Driver’s License (CDL-A) preferred but not required.
