SUMMARY: supervises manufacturing operations through a team of functional and front line technical operators. Ensures “production” satisfaction while improving the efficiency of manpower, materials and machines.

  • Manage and direct warehouse staff, 200+ employees, with 3 shifts.
  • Mechanically and technically savvy to lead and direct machine operations.
  • Meets targets in cost control, waste reduction, quality, safety, and complete and on-time performance.
  • Responsibilities include participating in the staffing process; interviewing, training direct reports; planning, assigning, and appraising performance; coaching and implementing corrective actions; addressing complaints and resolving problems; and making recommendations regarding involuntary separations to the Production Manager.
  • Ensures on-going performance feedback is provided to staff and conducts performance reviews in a timely and effective manner.
  • Acts as the key contact for assisting employees and in directing employees to needed information or forms.
  • Oversees and manages line stops, safety violations/accidents and chronic quality defects.
  • Ensures compliance with company policies through effective communications, coaching, training, and development.
  • Provides leadership for problem resolution to facilitate faster improvements and improved working relationships.
  • Ensures compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required;
  • 2+ years’ Supervisory related experience, with increasing responsibilities; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1+ years’ of Mechanical operation.
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A/S.) in Business, Engineering or a related field or equivalent from four-year college or certificate program preferred.
